Not so much a build thread as a look-what-I-already-assembled thread. Put together for The Malverns ‘22. Ridiculed there for the rear mudguard. But I can take it. Hit me with your best critiques, such as:
“The headset shouldn’t have logos” - I know. What am I going to do about it? Nowt! Next?
“The forks are a year too old” - Yes, and I’ve got some some MXCDs too. Am I going to fit them? Am I ‘eck! Next?
“The back tyre is a front” - You don’t say. But it’s the other way around and we all did that back in the day didn’t we? Next?
“You’re losing your marbles!” - Oh. Best stop talking to myself and show some Pace pics then.

At least you got the bars the right way round :) liking the small splash of colour

Love the way the rear mudguard was made compatible with canti brakes by the simple, no-nonsense expedient of bashing a hole through it. 👍

I like it.

Me and a pal were commenting that it’s how bikes were built in the 90s. Lots of colours and less uniform than we tend to build them now. I’m as guilty of this as many that it all has to be matchy matchy.

I mean , who had a complete matching groupset and all colour matching build back then.

That light in your garden that looks like a balloon really helps with the overall vibe....

Not saying it's a clown bike as a diss, but the color scheme did have my imagining one of these dudes pedaling off down some single track with a (slightly manic, incredibly creepy) grin on their faces!
