Shut up

Absinthe you say?
This shall mostly be my entertainment for tonight, pre and post pub:

But without the riding, the vodka related cycle injury still plays me up on cold mornings.

Unfortunately not locally.
I travel to Germany for work on a regular basis and its easy to find over there. Even the supermarkets sell it.

I am more than qualified to make a comment about my political views as are all people on this board......
It's not the making a comment you're shy on - it's the exposition of any sweeping, political comments you make.

Such forthright bravado, yet when challenged on it you go a big rubbery one.

I agree to disagree with you on this occasion as I actually have some work to do.....
That's uncanny.

After the best part of 10k posts in around a year, yet when examination of any bold, unthinking, political rhetoric you spout, when questioned on it, you're magically too busy to respond with anything with actual substance, yet oddly have a staggering post count that many long standing members would do well to beat.

Perhaps you should go back to trolling jim or john h......

I'm sure whomever you're alluding to, and for whatever reason(s), are big enough to speak for themselves.

Perhaps you should have the courage of your convictions to substantiate a stated political outburst - or if not, think twice about whether it's such a good thing to say. That and not exhaust the internet's supply of emoticons.

I wondr if you have actual friends neil...... you spend so much time thinking about how to quote and unquote

I was speaking from my own experience of working in a shop with many many customers and members of the public passing through....over 14 years of running my own business the people I have talked politics with tend to hate the monarchy if they were.....
a}labour voters or
b}government signwriters....
that is a fact from my experience and not figures from some rigged international fact finding poll.....if that is unacceptable and you disagree then come down here and do a survey.....if you survive your little trip you will find that I am correct

1. I don't spend time thinking about it at all - it's pretty simple, really - 'bout as simple as scattering emoticons in a post...
2. Not really seeing the whole cause / effect thing, again, with the somewhat weak suggestion about friends and using quotes - but I'm sure your many years as a retailer of reknown has equipped you with the ability for inductive reasoning, there. Or then again...

Well that concludes the matter, then.

If the representative thousands of people you've discussed and surveyed this matter with, in, presumably, one shop, in one town, is anything to go by, you've proved your case.

On the other hand, your findings may well be just a drop in the ocean, and show no rationale, other than to support your own preconceptions and prejudice.

Maybe as you say neil but to be honest I am only interested in my own town and my own findings.......I dare say if you go to the cotswolds and survey the nouveau riche your findings will be different but that wouldnt really interest me

I just find it amusing that in my experience the people who complain about the monarchy are people who themselves live off the back of a sort of "civil list" .......hypocritical in the extreme in my view
