Shut up

During the Commonwealth wedding ceremonies were banned from churches, so until the restoration people could only have civil ceremonies. Just a thought that you could throw in when your womenfolk do your heads in wittering on about "The Wedding". Mind you if I was getting married I'd like a flypast by Hurricanes and Spitfires, I just wouldn't want our faces on a tea-towel though!

Not sure I'm getting the link between socialism and anti-royalism?

And FFS less is more with the emoticons.

No one to pick on today neil.....erm.....I am not the only one to use them smileys....some people use them much much more.....maybe you should be emoticon poilce

the connection is this....

people always begrudge paying the 1 pound a year for a monarchical society.....but we pay considerably more for peoples illegitimate children and limps dont we......

I'm Anti-Royal and a Socialist.

I take it they got married?

Just got back from a lovely day, without watching that right load of old B******* on the telly, bliss.

al. :D

I've never understood the point in being socialist, it makes no sense to anyone that's open-minded..

anti Royal, yeah I can see that, cos they're quite a drain, a load of pomp and circumstance. However I see this wedding as a breath of fresh air for them, and a real head in the right direction for the 21st century.

I have no time for the royal Family normally, the current monarchy revealed it's true colours with the whole Diana fiasco and the Hypocrisy of Charles/Camilla, but the William/Catherine thing could really change things for the 'greater good' And if it doesnt well there;s bugger-all any of us can do about it anyway. :P

i'm not a socialist
i just want to be left alone to get on with my life without the authoritarian
bollocks that pervades modern life

probably an anarchist

they got married , oh well done

They're all that stands between free-born Britons and a President Blair/ Cameron.
I've got a lot of time for the Queen. The old girl has to put up with a lot, like her disunctional kids- there's only Charlie-boy who's alright [Organic farming, Princes Trust, he famously praised the traditional style of our estate when he came to Skipton but rightly slagged off the new Building Soc H.Q]- and all those trips to foreign lands where she has to grit her teeth and smile because the fat tribemen in loincloths are dancing for her benefit. Not to mention been head of the Commonwealth but been powerless to stop it's bastardisation by people like Mugabe and Amin.
And don't forget she is the only women in the world who is married to a living God. :D
