cool setup.. but you are not afraid that the maguras will eat quickly the rim brake area??
i am very paranoid on my wheels for that lol

Not at all. I ride this bike soley XC with minimal DH and in primarily tight single track, switchbacks and a lot of climbing in the right direction

I've ridden Spins with HBs for years on terrain like this. I hardly ever have to hammer the brakes and sometimes attempt to not use them at all. Make no mistake though, when I hammer them, you stop very quickly and abruptly.

Re:

i have two bikes with Spin.. one with the regular rim brake and i'm very paranoid of braking hard like you mentioned before.. but on the other hand was able to purchase an almost new unused wheel set and the front had the disc hub version.. still waiting to get some long screws from ebay since the traditional M5-10mm didn't worked for those old hub version.. i needed at least a 18mm long screw.. i'll post photos when i'll finish.

Re:

Long gone. Back when most bikes only hung around for 18 months before I moved on to something new. A Mk1 Cannondale Raven replaced it
