Picked this Stumpy FS up this evening from FB market place being sold as a stunt jumper
Im pretty sure it's a 96 by serial and spec but as always I'll happily stand to be corrected & educated.

His is spec'd differently. Has v brakes and no noodle for cantis. I'm thinking they switched part way through the year? Very interesting

This one has had various changes since new - definitely changed/upgraded forks and brakes and tyres.

Originally would have been LX canti brakes (in fact, see the spec sheet above). The cabling for the cantis was done via a hanger on the A1 and M2 frames rather than a noodle like on the steel frames.

More amazing information Repacker, thanks also for the link as I haven't got round to searching the forum yet.
Im on holiday in mid Wales and picked it up last night from Leominster but today has mostly been preparing for the drive back to Glasgow in the morning and stripping the stumpy completely to fit in the car.

Fantastic. Thanks for the information. I wasn't doubting your spec sheet, but had seen other of the a1 frames with similar v brake configuration, wanted to know what was correct.
