Show us your marins!

Here is my Marin bobcat trail . I purchased it a couple of years ago with intentions to rebuild . I have sx cantis and gearing just not actually started to do anything with it yet .I initially purchased because I liked the silver and blue combo

New project in the pipeline, to be built up with a mix of leftover bits and a modern 1x drivetrain.
Lots of stripping/sanding/polishing to come on both frame and fork.
Original stem and forks came with the frame - hanging onto those in case I want to go original in the future...

Always thought the girvin forks made bikes look strange . Will be nice polished up

My polished TeamTi with XT Group - built in recent years to replicate the satin TeamTi I had in the late 90s (I had Syncros stem and mk.1 RC30 forks on that and it rode beautifully back in the day). This time I've found a Ti syncros seat post to complient it too and its a nice stable mate of a bike. My original satin team-ti I was seduced by a Kona Hot frame in stars and stripes hanging on the wall at Vince's "Recycle" shop in London back in the day and I ended up trading it (somewhat foolishly as the Hot ended up needing a refurb that Dave-Yates did for me to good effect replicating the original finish perfectly) . Fond memories and still pleased to have this one in my now slightly reduced collection (I sold a lot of my bikes during the pandemic when wages took a cut when I couldn't work for a bit) 1753005162720.webp
