Show us your (Marin) Boingers!

Re:

This seem like a good place to post this picture as my needs are for a Marin Mount Vision (I think)

I had this frame stripped and then I painted it with simoniz tough black and it's come out nice, I have some air forks, 319 rims and 1 x 10 set up for it but I can't find any information about the pivots and how to rebuilt/renew and fix them.

I have play in the bottom pivot and believe I have missing hardware, the bottom of the swing arm will drift side to side at the lower point.
I just have a metal rod and 2 bolts for that section. I've tried packing washers there but it stopped the swing arm moving altogether. If you can help I'd really appreciate it.
Bearings are new.

Please leave a message or pm me with what I need and if possible some pictures.

Do any Marin boinger owners know how fat a tyre can fit on the rear? I'm guessing 2.35 at the least, but it would be useful to know.

Re:

I’ve followed this thread since the beginning and eventually I’m getting around to doing a full refurb on my beloved 1998 Mount Vision. I managed to find a bloke selling a swingarm with disc tabs so on go the Vintage Hope calliper number 5s! Really struggling to make a final decision on the colour though. Pearl Black appeals. It’s going to be stealth I think. I always loved the original colour but the decals are too far gone so I’m going for a full new spray job. I’ll post some pictures when I get it back from the paint shop.

On a more hilarious note, I spotted this for sale on Facebook market. The rarely seen Orange FRS. Made in Halifax - just outside of California!!! The guy is selling it as an Orange DH bike. Oh dear....

Just bought this, not arrived yet.
I think it’s a 2000? It has aftermarket front end I think?

Re:

I think that’s a year 2000 Marin. Although I thought they’d all gone to discs on the rear swing arm by then - can’t see from the photo but it’s probably got the flat plate to add an adaptor I’d imagine.

What’s your plans for this one? Those forks look monsters!
