Beautiful bike and photo! I had the same frame back in '93 but kitted out with different parts. Sadly didn't have a decent camera to take photos of mine. Looks to be same frame size as what I had then.

Cheers BP. It's a 16" frame. Love riding it when the trails are dry, even though you have to start braking minutes in advance of the next corner

......27 years later, on a Sunday afternoon, 30th April 2023.....chance upon a 1995 GT ZASKAR LE my dream bike on my local online marketplace. Purchased the bike around USD$390 from the seller started working on it for 1.5 years...

1991 Karakoram in the famous inferno paint, picked up off Craigslist for $40. Dream bike in high school (couldn't afford the $600 MSRP at the time), so couldn't resist. Was someone's college bike & upon restoring it, found it to be by far the mintiest find i've come across. Way too small for me, so sold it (for a pretty good profit margin), but was a fun project

Great paint on yours, so many are faded to orange!
