Tell us your predictions for a future classic Bike you can now pick up for under £50 - it can can be any age - preferably with something that sets it apart from the rest to make it interesting - I`ll kick off with a Muddy Fox bike that can be seen badged from Alu- Hooligan - Hobo - 2000, - Laser normally silver & slight differences in the frame features. My tip is the Hooligan Hobo with its distinctive strengthening upper frame section between top, header & down tubes similar to those old Puch Invader Bmx`s which can often sport the Muddy Fox paw print logo embossed into it, some have an embossed/raised Muddy Fox emblem on the top tube under the seat area too - all i think have the top bar that sweeps under the seat / straight thru seat post -

Muddy Fox was a good brand at first, but it has made ordinary entry-level bikes for the past 25 years. There is little halo from a bike like that - bottom-end components, no racing history, no nothing. I'll keep my money elsewhere, thanks.

For £50 you are still in the range of mid-90s hardtails or rigid bikes. In the rush to 29-er full sussers and gravel bikes they are stunning value. Just because something new comes out doesn't make them suddenly less capable. I bought a Dawes Edge frame and forks in 653 for under £50. Its a general mixed terrain do-anything bike, been used for bikepacking on Dartmoor, did a 450 mile tour in it in France this summer.
