This one might be controversial. I have taken off the black paint that was covering this and I have flatted everything down with 1000 grade wet and dry and t-cut and waxed the frame and I am going to build it back as is.

1997 GT Zaskar Le. In the proses of cleaning and adding some new parts. That’s not the stem and seatpost that’s staying on. Was trying the stem to get the right degrees I need. -6 for me. Ive got a thing that the stem has to be the same angle as the top tube . I’m right though .

It is a '98 not a '97 Zaskar LE, nice bike though! I wouldn't mind one myself!

Absolutely true mate. But in production year he was birthed October 1997 (it’s on his birth certificate ).

I had this with a Kona FM, clearly 93 spec but serial said 92.

Serial number simply tells you when the frame was produced. Not what model year it was.

No different to now where the next years bikes are released in around October.

The zaskar above is a 98.
