My first time using bent bars after riding mtb’s for over 30 years have to say so much fun as a commuting bike and hoping to ride more in the winter with this as local rides on the mountain bike was awful last year we shall see how we go!!
This is my work in progress. It's an All City Space Horse. It's going to be my touring/bikepacking bike as well as my commuter and double as a road bike with drop bars, a lighter wheelset and skinnier tyres for the very rare sportive or roadie day out.
Finally got around to posting some pics of another of my MTB to Gravel builds.
2006 Salsa Moto Rapido
2 x 10 Drive train - 44/32 up front with 11-42T cassette.
GRX Rear Mech / Deore Front.
Tiagra Hydro Brake / Shift Levers
650B wheels with 47b Maxxis Ramblers.
Really loving this bike - it's great on bridleways and rough / gravel backroads.
Zips along on the road quite nicely too!!
I honestly didn't really see that I would ever ride this frame again much these days, as I've got a couple of mountain bikes that would be chosen for rough off-road riding. But, rebuilding it up like this has really brought it to life in a totally different way and makes it my first choice now for winter training / exercise riding.
