Sorry!

But then I'd have to talk to roadies.

In any case if you look at my pics, you'll see my bikes spend most of their time anywhere but the road... :)

Can't provide any pics of old roadsters myself, but would like to see more if anybody's got one.
Like those Sunbeams 8) Was that the same factory that made the motorcycles? I nearly bought an S7 when I was a student. Couldn't afford the £300. When I see what they go for now....

I have a bastardised one, only the frame and chainset are original. The rest is AHead hybrid forks and knobbly tyred fixed gear wheels with cruiser bars.
I'll try and find a picture but its not as classy as an original. I did have a Raleigh Sport as did my father and my last bike bought for me as a kid was a Raleigh Connoseur which was another 26" wheeled roadster.

Just bought an NOS chrome fork with a long steerer that will hopefully allow me to build up my old roadster a bit more like it was originally meant to be. A hybrid fork with canti bosses doesn't really look right on it but i'm leaving the aftermarket stickers on for that ghetto feel

Very nice collection and nice pictures, it's good to see them out and getting used too! When I was younger my Dad revived his boyhood bike as a project with us, I must get it out of the shed and cleaned up a little - it's nothing fancy, CWS I think. These pictures combined with the milder weather make a gentle spin on the old thing quite an appealing thought!

There's something very civilised about the fully enclosed chain, mudguards and hub gears although I'm not sure I'd have the energy to take one up any significant inclines (particularly off-road!) The flat pedals are a bit of a shock to the system too.

The first picture looks kind of familiar, can't exactly place it though...

Well if you're near Dingwall, and want to take the CWS out for a spin we could do a tea and cakes ride and avoid the hills. :)
