Saffron does knitwear?! My old studio was opposite his.... always had to go the long way round just so I could take a peek in there. He does make a beautiful bike

And today I did........
Find and purchase a 1998 Marin Nail Tail a younger sister for my reaquired 1990 Marin Bear Valley.( Sold it 2 year ago, bought back 4 months ago, same £ much worse condition)
They now are considerably younger sisters to my 64cm Canyon Roadlite AF . Strip down of Nail Tail has commenced hopefully that first impressions of new cables is all that's required.

Back between the race tapes for me and went a lot better than Pitfichie. Down in Glentress for the Bosch Challenge. Course far more brutal than last year and tested my battery to its limits.

Ended up 93rd out of 99 but was closer to the mid pack riders than I managed last year. Quite pleased I was only 7 or so minutes behind Davedownhill.

That’s race season over, time for some chilled rides.

Yes, but he lives at the bottom of the bloody hill and could ride the trails blindfolded. I didn’t even know half the this years trails existed.

On the plus side I was 12 minutes ahead of my fab smoking pie eating layabout mate Peem and he did the beginners course with two less stages.

Legs still sore from Saturday’s race, so went for a gentle spin on the gravel bike. Headed out along the cliff path mulling over a future Clubbytrails route. Lovely morning and quiet roads, bliss.
