Show me your... Neo Retro riders.

Here is my NOS 1997 Saracen Protrax frame and NOS 1997 RS Judy XC fork with modern build.

Forks are modded with Speed Springs and Risse Racing GEM damping cert'... I'm going to get them painted to match the frame too.

Drive-train and brakes are M770 XT
Hubs [Pro III], headset and seatclamp are Hope, Mavic rims, DT Rev' spokes.
Seatpost and stem are Thomson [SP has custom anno purple saddle clamps]
Bar is Control-Tech 31.8 [Heritage Series silver]
SRP bar ends
Etc..

Rides really great.

I have just got some Ceramic rims so this is the next move.

I hope you guys approve?

Cheers,

Chaser.

'98 clockwork with a lot of modern kit on it...

No frame mods though, just modern parts.

RS Reba forks
Sram X9 rear mech
Sram X7 shifters
LX external BB & chainset
XT front mech
SLX cassette
XT & Deore hubs
Thomson seatpost
Hope Stem
etc etc...

Thinking of a new wheelset for it too...

I love it, since I bought it I've not ridden any of my other bikes.

My proflex 856 will be full m970 with carbon bars, post and a few other goodies.

I have most of the bits now, just missing some modern crossmax's, cassette, pedals, headset & grips :-)

No frame mods for this build though :-(

WD :-)

my Neo Retro Proflex, nearly built since this pic I have added an M770 rear mech and XT 9 speed cassette, just waiting for my chain to arrive and then its time to thrash the beast.

'97 Heckler built up with pretty much all modern bits inc. Hope Mono Mini's (A2Z rear disc adapter), Fox F100 RL, PUSHed Fox RL2, RF Evolve XC chainset/post/stem, EA70 bars, Mavic Crossrides etc.

'94 Dyna-Tech Diablo LX just added to readers bikes which was pretty much all original. I added more modern Pace sus forks (2001), front V brake and saddle. Will have full set of M739 V's/levers soon though...

Under construction......1992 Kona Explosif converted by http://www.shandcycles.com/ to accept cable disc brake

Fork will be Pace RC35 with original Hope disc from same era :D

ignore paintwork - it'll all be redone eventually - I was just getting a feel for how it looks/performs

For added bounce on the front, I have option to fit Pace RC36 with Avid BB5 brake, but the geometry of that setup is less appealling (to me)
