Show me your Mavic MTB Groupo!

A litle out of place here, but this is rare enough that I thought you might like to see it: a set of Mavic SSC triple parts from the late eighties: front and rear derailleurs, three chainrings, and the triple adapter for the 631 cranks:

These are currently on eBay.fr - not my auction, just something I spotted while browsing. I'll post the details to the road section.

Check out the way the inner edges of the chainrings are radiused and polished! I don't think even Campag ever went quite that far.

But the more important spring is around the bolt for fixing the mecht on the frame. And I don't know how to remove this part…
Just prise off the circlip that retains the main fixing bolt, then push the bolt out.

But you may find that, with a short cage and less chain wrap to worry about, the spring is strong enough.

Yessss ! I could remove the spring and bolt fixing the mecht on the frame : removing the circlip has you told, and after unscrew the bolt.
There's 2 holes for the spring : smooth- standard position , and harder.
It's a quite easy job.

Would’ve been such a good thread but most of the pictures have vanished
Ah yes back in the day of the old forum, when picture where hard to attach, sizes had to be very small adding yet another step to attaching them.
So most pictures went on to other sites, that then change their rules and ruined many a forum post.
