Show me your Mavic MTB Groupo!

missed that one for 1 euro .

not sure what model it is .

cage look too short for a mTB version though .

Yes, it's seems a medium cage…
Never seem that.

But medium cage works fine on mtb.
Only the spring not hard enough : it's touching a little when the chain is on the 28 teeth and on bigger.

I have a Mavic front mech I could part with.

It's in the UK, and I'm not there until early December.

Let me know when you get to the UK and we will talk.

I've got a short cage 840 on my Stumpjumper:

http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?p=365378

With the setup just right it just clears a 32t big sprocket, with just enough chain wrap to run all the gears of my 2x9 (42-29 and 11-32) except 29-11.

I'm looking for a mid-cage to give me the option of a triple if anybody's got a spare knocking around...

Yeah, but that was the much rarer 845 mtb long cage version. A plain 840 might fetch a quarter of that.

true indeedie......dont suppose you have one do you?......i miss my old one... :x
Sorry - I'm hoarding what I have. I want to keep mine running for ever. If anything shows up at the autumn cycle jumbles I might give you a shout though - I bought one for 5€ last year...

Mavic road mechs come up quite regularly on ebay.fr .

I also have located some shifters , but might take a while before i get my hand on them .

Thanks…I think, I will try with a short cage, and will find a solution for a more strong spring too…
