I have had a 12 month separation from most of my bikes & parts as my stuff had to go into storage.

But during unpacking a load of stuff I came across my photos.

my Chas Roberts White Spider from around 1994, kitted out with pace RC35's

and this is me racing it back in 1994, now that was a beard!

Looks like this at the moment, would love to get it back to its original condition

There is indeed a little dent in it, happened in a hit & run accident I was in back in about 1996.

resulting in this, If i had the money I would take it back to chas roberts & get it repaired, remove down tube(dent) & Bottom Bracket(stuck) & replace, repaint to original colours but not sure if it would be worth it.

wouldnt mind turning it into a single speed if the frame would handle it with the dent. I would still need toget the BB out without damaging the BB shell.

Trees in those days were closer together, thats why the bars were so short, also it saved weight!

Gotta love the ever-popular slightly-staggered shifters so the barrel adjusters don't collide

I'm sure the BB'll come out with the aid of Plusgas and leverage, and I think I'd just fill the dent.

Here's mine...


Bought it off here (sorry, can't remember who now). Needs a new down tube, and the BB is seized. I keep promising myself it will get done/finished, but the money filters through my fingers.

I just got my Roberts Genesis delivered back from the spray shop. Will be built up with RC35's, Middleburn RS1's, Middleburn wheelset, Use post M900 sti's, M737 mechs, smoke/darts & a flite.

Just missing a nice UK made stem & Hbar.

Will get some pictures sorted when I get over my feeling sorry for myself, ive broken my collar bone phase. (& it certainly wont be built until long after this phase has passed)
