Been inspired by Boy "O" Boy's orange and white Aluminium "O",
was thinking of painting my E3 the same.

I like the polished finish but think it'd look awesome
orange and white fade 8) with black stickers.

Would be doing it myself using a combination of cans and a
small gun, would be using the proper aluminium primer (i've sprayed a few bikes in the past and done DIY on car bodywork so i'm fairly confident)

When the luster of that new paint rubs off you'll wish it was polished alloy again. The grass is always greener and all that, i'd stick with the polished look and spend the cash on some quality custom decals instead.

I'm really not sure. :? I'm not a huge fan of polished frames and orange / white would (as always) look stunning but I couldn't call it.

What about a funky half painted half polished look? That would be a different take on an Orange frame.

The frame looks nice in the pic but has no laquer on it, so it shows up
even finger marks and the whole thing would need re-done every
time i got caught in the rain, the answer to this would be to re-laquer
it or better clear anodise it but it would need a lot more work before
this (usual chain marks on the chainstay etc)

Also would be going over the paint with plenty of laquer so it would
last a good few years anyway

Half polished half painted sounds interesting though, orange/polished fade 8)

Easier fading paint into paint though, fading the orange into alloy may not be easy.

Half orange, half polished sounds awesome I agree. But what matter's is what you want, as your the one who has to live with it.
