Just in the garage and noticed this. The b/b cup was cracked so I turned the bike upside down......

take the BB out and check it .

it's a plastic cup so is it coincidence there's a line along the shell too? If it was a metal cup I'd be wondering more... can you just pull a little of the paint off to have a peek?

That track line of blistered paint looks a little worrying. I'd remove the bb so you can check the shell isn't cracked when you get a chance.

I've seen the cups split before from overtightning but nothing like that on a frame...........and you can all guess which frame that is so I'm reluctant to pull paint off

Wouldn't think the BB shell is cracked, but prolly rusted nicely underneath :?
The other rust spots need a look too.

BB shell is pretty thick though, so if tubes look OK inside, a shotblast and respray may help make it look better.

Have a scrape on the shell and then touch it up again once BB out if all is cool.

Horrible thing to find so I hope its ok...

All is probably not lost.

I'd be suprised if the BB shell has gone, but you really need to get the BB out so you can examine it internally 'cos you never can tell.

Then stip the paint off the outside, sort that surface rust and a quick blast of spray paint.
