Shortened seat stays???

How about looking for a GT style of road frame or a Dave LLoyd Wishbone design? As you mention you could have a frame modified, maybe someone like Chris Marshall or Kevin Winter would take a "normal" frame and mod it for you?

I can only think of 2 frames like the one you want that have come up for sale in the last few years........as has been mentioned they are not aero and have a critical design flaw.

Re:

Hi there.
Thanks for your help.
It's not actually a hellenic frame I want. The original photo I posted is of one with shorter seat stays, that connect to the seat tube, not a hellenic frame whereby they pass the seat tube and attach to the top tube.

Thanks a lot for your help though.
Samuel.

Re:

Hi Shaun, and thanks one again.

I actually don't mind the design flaw, nor the lack of aerodynamics. I just really love the aesthetic, and I'm certain I can make something real nice with it.

I'm not a fan of the wishbone, but I'll certainly look into your other ideas.

Thanks a lot.
Samuel.

Hi Samuel,

Fixie OK? Does it need to be retro?

Brick Lane Bikes sell some dropped stay fixie frames at down to £155 for a 6061 aluminium frame.

All the best,

Danson, thank you very much! They look like lovely frames, and I'll be certain to check them out, but really, I did want an older style frame.

Eeeek, apologies for being a nightmare!

I could just find out who made that blue frame that I originally posted, or if I could find anything similar.

Thanks again to all who have helped so far!
Regards, Samuel.

Re:

Why not just have a frame made.

I am sure that you could find a frame builder who would enjoy the idea of creating a modern version of an older design.

Re:

Hi again.
Thanks for the reply.
I actually almost bought the blue frame, from that sane company, for £135, but I then saw it was 53cm, and I need sonething more like a 56-60cm.
Darn it.

We're getting closer folks!
