Shock pump, SID adapter?

Just fitted a pair of SIDs ('02 XCs IIRC) to my Proflex, & having never had an air fork before I'm in need of a shock pump!

Do all pumps fit all (modernish) forks, or am I correct in my vague recollection of SIDs being awkward & needing adapters?

Cheers! :)

Just had the same dilemna myself with first ever air forks and after research find that some older Sids do require a needle adapter (same as footie ball)
Apparently Marzocchi pumps are lower pressure and the pump only goes to 100psi whereas others that require more air need a pump that goes up to 300psi

I bought a Wrench Force one and it came with all the adapter bits

Yep same here... Picked a pump up the other week which works fine for the Fox stuff but no good for the air X/C stuff

Thanks...

These definitely aren't a needle-type valve, guess the best bet's to take a pic of em and post it up here!

Some required an adaptor with a small thread.

Chris.

Ps have a rockshox pump if you need one

That might be the one. From memory they look like metal schrader-type valves but slightly smaller...

& this is a 'wanted' thread...!

Shplendid! Just need to confirm it'll work, or that I can get hold of an adapter... I'll take a pic of the fitting on the fork tonight :)

Even more shplendid! Shall I take a pic anyway, or are you sure it'll work? I've no idea how many types there are!
