Martin Gold Trader Feedback View Dec 29, 2007 #1 Can anyone tell me if the 738 sti combi is compatible with canti's or just V-brakes. I know the 737 are canti's and the 739 are v-brake. Whoknows?? Cheers, Martin

R Russell Old School Grand Master Dec 30, 2007 #2 I think that they were for cantilevers. I'm pretty sure I have some in the garage that were on a canti equipped bike.

Geoff Senior Retro Guru Dec 31, 2007 #4 You sure about that? I think the STI on my Bontrager are 738 and they are V-brake. Shall need to look when I get back to Aus though...

Martin Gold Trader Feedback View Jan 1, 2008 #7 Found the original catalogue of the 1995 shimano groups. The 738 is a 1995 sti-set in there were only canti's bitd. In 1996 the v-brakes came along with the 739. Thanks all. Martin
