I need to replace the internal mechanism of my STX-SE MC31 RH integrated shifter / Lever. I have already replaced this once before with a spare MC31 I had.

So what other Shimano shifters can I look out for as suitable doners? M560, M565, will the later STX ones be compatible?

I don't want to replace the whole unit as this is for my Dawes which is all original now.

This is the pic of the assembly in question, dropped out by undoing the single bolt underneath.

Cheers :D

you'd be just as cheap finding a single right stx shifter and stripping it :D i'd put an add in the wanted section fella :D :D

That's what i want to do, but my question is which ones are compatible? e.g. Will the MC34 or MC36 STX bits fit in my MC31 housing? Don't want to end up with loads of spare shifters to find the right one.

just woke up and seen what i wrote there

i think i have a set of the stx (or just under stx) 7 speed pods you can have for some karma if you want them :D
