When was the last year for shimano skinny hubs? Was it 1993?
Just trying to get the year right so i can match up an LX rear hub.
It's black so it's later than '92, but it's not parralax.
Someone know the M number (suppose i could go out to the garage and check, bit it's too cold), or even the the specific hub number? (or has anyone got one?! )
Anyone got a shimano cat they can scan for the right year?
I'm going for a period, full LX groupset for my Cannondale (but with the Coda brakes), trying to get it spot on, and the last part is the front hub. 8)

I've got a black 92 Apple Core LX hub. Good thing too - it's done about 20,000 miles and the bearings are still perfect.

Never heard the term apple-core used to describe hubs before...

Anyways,
Deore XT used "Parallax" in it's 1994 groupset.
Also the year Deore DX was dropped.
Deore LX groupset got upgraded and the Parallax design, though I think I it had both for this year and dropped the traditional design in 1995 leaving just the Parallax.
M560 (LX we are talking about) is a 1993 groupset.

XTR did not change to this style until the 1995 groupset alterations to the M900 revision to M910, though I don't think they called it parallax then.

/re Hamster... 1993 groupsets would normally be available late 1992, as is the way.
