SHIMANO DX seatpost SHIM please!

Hi,

I have purchased a Shimano DX seatpost which I would like to add to my Orange P7 frame. Now the seatpost is 26.8 mm and I think the frame tube is 29.8 mm. Not 100% sure :| it could be 29.6 mm.

Anyone have a source to exact size or point me in the right direction please :?:

half way down they have a table for some basics... the biggest give away is solt faces forward or back on the frame to help with the year.

Im pretty sure I bought it around 99' new. Slot is forward.

Now the problem of finding a 26.8 to 29.6 mm shim. HELP?

If anyone knows or has seen this size? I have found some over the pond but not worth the postage or wait!

If no 26.8 to 29.6 ideas?

I have found 26.8 to 29.4 SJS Cycles but pay the price and more for postage!

OR 27.2 to 29.6 and some conversion trick maybe?

hope you find a solution... there must be some way of doing it. maybe two shims? 26.8 - 27.2, then 27.2 - 29.6 ? not sure how good an idea using two shims is though... :?

maybe you should just forget it and sell the DX post to me!

I could swap for a red USE post, you should be able to find a shim for that easily enough!

Good one! but NO!

Its to nice, brushed metal against the P7 nickel, even my tourer has to look good too.

Will get a 27.2 shim then either coke can or some brass shim sheets of ebay 001, 002 etc.
