Indeed, there is s point when drilling to many holes & silly shapes in discs actually reduces friction and makes them more ineffective. Heat/glazing issues can be controlled with the use of half decent pads!

yet they stop great without fuss and function flawlessly its not like its trying to stop me plus a good 400lbs of a good 600cc motor bike now they have small seemingly small rotor for weight and speed :shock: :shock:

Changed over the pads on my Saints earlier. Was expecting to faff about but it was done in 5 mins, both ends :shock: Very happy about it.
This may be of use in your disc quest.

I don't think those rotors would last me

I believe Deore have got good reviews when it comes to disc brakes

Anyone had any experience of mixing Shimano levers & calipers?

Just realized you can get calipers seperately so thinking of XT rear & Saint front with existing LX levers...also a bit cheaper then buying the whole kit.
