Shimano 8 speed to Campag 8 speed

My , very definitely 2010, Veloces are horrid with a triple. Got those 6 positions which should in theory give 2 notches per ring. In practice they just don't match. I suspect that there will be an optimum BB/Cs combo that works but I can't find it.
Why not consider getting a new wheel? Not that expensive. Then you can go npure campag.

I agree with the above comments about mixing 8 speeds but the reason I reckon they work is that there is that much play in a system anyway. The side to side play in the jockey wheels plus the mech add up to 3mm on my new Campag mech. It works.

Good to know. Plus thinking about it, if you calibrate the indexing on one of the middle cogs, the magnification difference will be less on the top & bottom cogs.

never used a triple (we're real men in sheffield )so cant comment on how the front indexing will work. What i do know that the latest (post 200 ultrashift stuff, whilst having a ratchet on the left lever, is not as fine as the pre 2006 non indexed lever.
