Wanted shimano 3x9 front derailleur

I've just picked myself up a nice (well it was nice once upon a time) Cube hybrid for the winter and having some issues with it. Well for £20 I'm not surprised it's a wreck but hey when you're in my shoes, it's still better than most of my bikes. My main issue is the front derailleur needs replacing.

Does anyone have a triple front derailleur, 34.9 clamp, bottom/dual pull available? Not worried what it is (it's a Deore on there at the moment) as long as it works.

Thanks all.

What size chainrings?
And what's wrong with the current one?
Front derailleurs often seize from the filth chucked off the road, but will free up with attention.😃
Grooves worn from constant chain rub is a different matter. ☹

So it will change from the small ring to middle ring and back fine but struggles to go to the big ring. It will go but not fully (the chain sits at an angle as if not on properly). Then it gets stuck on the big ring. I've cleaned and lubed it to free it off and it's better but it's almost as if something is getting stuck when it's forced to the big ring. Limit screw is wound all the way out so it's not that. I think it's something to do with the spring

How's the chainline?
Middle ring should line up with middle on the cassette.

Some frames weren't built for a triple, pushing the chainset out to clear the stays.

And around octalink time, shimano moved chainsets out to allow for wider carbon and aluminium stays and fatter tyres.

The earlier derailleurs aren't entirely happy with this.

Also some mtb derailleurs were designed with 44t max and struggle with 48.

I assume you've got indexed chainrings in the right orientation?

(If you remove the derailleur, soak it in thin oil, place the clamp in a vice and waggle the cage a hundred times it should fully free up - this stiffness tends to stop a downshift to small ring, but can prevent the final mm of travel to get a clean upshift
