They really were nice bikes, rode really well with a lovely whippy feel.

As to "What happened to Saracen"? It was a pair of brothers raping the business for all it was worth churning out dross. Same problem happened to Raleigh and it meant that an entire generation never wanted to buy one.

If you start off on a bike when young, there's a chance that brand loyalty would keep you with the brand. If you start on something as shite as a Saracen Raw, then you'll either never fall in love with riding, or else you'll switch brands as soon as you can!

Well its started.........

First build up is going well - a mixture of old school and new (old style :roll: ) school.

Tis VERY light though under 5lbs on my kitchen scales - still going to get thrashed :twisted: in a nice way though

Well lucky!

Got a similar frame off the bay last year, rack mounts and sprayed by argos and slightly used, paid twice what you paid.

You had a really good result.
