Keeping it authentic means keeping it the way she rode it. She was the 1995 British Champion on this bike so, with respect, it made no difference to her performance ergo it is what it is. I’m pretty sure Reg (who is plying his trade in Les Gets right now) got it wrong.hmm . . . odd. if the back of the crank arm has a stud to combat chain drop, then the timing pin should be removed from the chianring and then fitted behind the crank arm, i understand the "she rode it like that" but that would have been a mechaincs choice, and arguably wrong choice!
sorry though, i couldn't help but notice it, saw this at the malverns on every other bike last year, i've innadvertantly started noticing it more!
