When the Serotta welders took over building Fats, when Fat City Cycles moved to Glenn Falls, the welds were still fantastic. Only ever owned a T Max but that was one hell of a bike to ride.
why your T Max was a hell ride ?
I do not complain of stiffness BB, is true for early 1990 .
Serotta and Fat Chance are butted frames, internal and tapered for Serotta, external for Fat Chance .
The result is completely different .

'Hell of a ride' means it's like being a 19 year old guy and a 30yr old Catherine Deneuve gets into your sleeping bag naked and won't leave until there is no more ammunition left in your pants.
Well sir, you have the priveledge of testing both a Fat Ti and Serotta Ti Max. I love my 94 Fat Ti mono stay with the 'non welded sleeve BB section but external butting -( best of breed ) and my 97 Fat Tiwhich is like the Serotta Ti Max tubing wise.
All amazing unicorns![]()
