So many people are finding it tough at the moment.
We are the enlightened few though.
Everytime I commute my 27mile round trip to work, I think all of these things:
I save on the Gym membership I don't need (training for free), the fuel and wear and tear I avoided, the traffic jams I avoided, somebody elses shower I didn't need to heat etc.
and every time I do so I get to be sociable with like minded people, see the countryside I normally miss, feel the sunshine I normally miss, get a lung full of fresh air (and occasionally diesel), and of course do my favourite thing in the world (except eating and drinking) 'ride my bike'.
So anyway my point is I look around at all the other people in their expensive fuel hungry metal cocoons who must also be feeling the pinch and wonder if they will ever get to be as enlightened as us enough to get off their moaning cash strapped arses and ride a bike rather than drive a car.
