Selling stuff to survive

Was at my Mums the other night and she handed me a tin of stamps that were collected by me, my Brother and my Sister over the course of the last 35 years or so..

Need to sell 'em but how the hell do I find out the value :?

S'a fricking nightmare..

I've been so looking forward to next month as my car loan finishes after 4 years - I'll be £200 a month up! - then I noticed next months service requires a new water pump and timing belt at £400 - can't ever win.

We are getting our first pay rise in 3 years soon, might be as much as 5%

i sell bikes to replace them......mainly to feel better so i dont see the thousands of pounds that i have blew on them, and also to keep the wife happy.

she doesnt understand why anyone could have more than a single bike at a time

if i had the £25,000+ i have spent on bikes in the past 12months or so id be a happy man.......truth is, when one sells the cash soon goes elsewhere until you have nothing left :(

I think everyone is feeling it, one way or another.

Haven't really noticed if people are selling up shiny things, maybe Marin Man would know.

people are indeed selling stuff but when they need money and decide to sell the market is generally down all over.....hence the treasured thing that was valued two years ago at say 300 is now worth in real terms about 100......lifes a bitch...
