They are 235 tyres when fitted on the Porsche 928 on the rears, so must have fitted narrower tyres, just wondering how though.

Jon this is quite important. If your tyres are stretched which they sound like they are you have to be very careful on tyre pressures. Can you take a picture of the rear tyres from the back of the car? If the side walls are leaning into the tyres you have stretch. I have about 40psi in mine. If they lose a lot of pressure stretched tyres can pop off the rim fairly easily.
Its nothing to be worried about or scared of, just keep an eye on pressure.
