They are 235 tyres when fitted on the Porsche 928 on the rears, so must have fitted narrower tyres, just wondering how though.

It's all about the stretch in the VAG scene. :D Don't get it myself and have 215/40s wrapped around my 17" alloys (which are 7" wide but big offset) I like having a bit of kerb protection. :D

(why is it every current pic I own is it in various stages of destruction/rebuild? )

They don't look like 9's on the rear to me. When i put 9's on rachel's cab they sat right at the very outer edge of the arch. I have 205 40's on a 9 inch rim. They are no different to fit than a normal tyre. Just sometimes harder to pop on the bead.

Jon this is quite important. If your tyres are stretched which they sound like they are you have to be very careful on tyre pressures. Can you take a picture of the rear tyres from the back of the car? If the side walls are leaning into the tyres you have stretch. I have about 40psi in mine. If they lose a lot of pressure stretched tyres can pop off the rim fairly easily.

Its nothing to be worried about or scared of, just keep an eye on pressure.

I am not driving it now. You scared the crap out of me now dave!!!

Wait a minute here  very good Dave you nearly got me there scare tactics to get me to sell the wheels.

You really want those wheels!!

So they maybe 4 front wheels then as they are narrower. From the side picture there doesn't seem to be much stretch at all.

I always thought the 928's were 8's on the back anyway. I think they are fronts. Possibly making them more desireable for the vw crowd.

Wasn't trying to scare you jon, its just if they are stretched on the rims you do need to watch the pressures.

As said above, they don't look stretched but take a pic from behind the car so we can see.

I'll try and put a pic up of my stretch later so you can see. I'm on my phone so can't do it now. If you search the non bike classifieds there's an add for them actually you can see the stretch on the rears in there.
