Seatposts and stems. . your choice. .

Is nobody going to ask what the needed height , length or width is :?
Why? Most manufacturers produce a wide range of configurations. Modern bars are wide, and can be cut down. It would only be relevant if something out of the ordinary were required.

I'm just wondering if people have a preference for a particular name/type when it comes to seatposts and stems
Seatposts and stems or bars and stems? If you want all three to match, your choices become more limited.

posts and stems . . matching bars would be a bonus but the choices ain't great for all 3. . . ControlTech are an option.. have a decent rep?? And look cool too. .

Are the Thomson road stems that suitable for MTB?? I suspect they are but there must be a difference. .

Ah, you see it was the way you put "bars and stems" in the title that made me think you meant bars and stems...

The "elite" series are identical in construction, but the clamp size and angles are different for the road model (26mm clamp and negative rise). The oversized "X2" model can be used for light XC, but the four-bolt "X4" gives greater security and isn't much heavier.

oh balls. . . wondered why the responses were odd

I'll go edit... try and make myself look a little less of a numpty

Of course, I meant just bars and stems. Also have a set of ITM Millenium carbon forks on the road bike.

Seatposts I'm not too fussed about, as long as they have 2-bolt micro-adjustment. Currently have Tioga on Scott off-road and Marin hybrid and IDB on the road bike.

The one big 'plus' is that I use a 2-bolt clamp to hold them firmly in place on the Scott and road bike, even though all my seatposts are alloy. Terrific bit of kit.

Holy moly that's a substantial looking item

Once I start squirrelling bits for the Zaskar, I am going to try to get form in addition to function..
Really want a bike that looks as nice as it (hopefully) rides..

Not got oodles of cash to throw about so it may take a while but going to give it my best shot 8)
