Got this months MBUK (for the Mint Sauce freebie) and scanned the pages, inevitably reading the reviews (of the recommended bike)..

They mentioned their approval of it being fitted with a seat q/r - as if it was a 'must have' thing that the cycling fraternity really want on a bike..

Is this true?? Is a seat q/r that important??

If so.. why?

I theory, makes it easy to adjust saddle up & down mid ride. Sensible position for the flats and uphills and down for the [MBUK] rad gnarly downhills [/MBUK].

Have a saddle QR on my Sub5, can't remember adjusting it mid-ride.

It's so that when you turn up at the pub to show off your big wedge ( sorry bike ) you can let all the people your showing off to have a go

Never liked them as I've never seen the point . My house keys are attached to a multitool so I always have something to hand to raise the post if a midget wanted to have a ride
