I dount many of you know this bike , brand . They were distributed by Lapierre .

It is from 1989/1990 and made of aluminium .

Christian Taillefer rode for Scrambler Line in his early days .

The build is Mavic and Shimano for the brakes .

The wheels will be soon replaced by Wolber tubulars and rims .

That's a bit different and the Mavic kit so 8) . Shame they didn't stick some Paris-Dakar hubs and Oxygen Rims on too. The XTII Enhanced SLR levers are quite rare too, IIRC most were two finger variants then and those look like 4's. Quite a find.

hopefully the hubs will be Paris dakar on Wolber tubular rims and tyres .

levers were a set of combo but got chopped by previous owner .

I so wanted a set of wheels based on those hubs BITD, even had them on order but cancelled due to lack of funds. Think I ordered Paris-dakar hubs with M7CD rims and Stainless DB spokes, to be 4 cross rear and Radial front.

change of saddle for a San Marco .

and first ride yesterday . a really rigid bike .

Christian Taillefer used to race xc country on those and rode and won a race called the Transvesubienne in the south of france . it is a 70km race through the lower alps towards Nice . It is probably one of the hardest race you can do both uphill and downhill . it is in june for those who fancy it .

thanks , yes trying to focus on french bikes lately .

next projects are a Look Mi90 , an Emery and a Peugeot road bike .
