Schrader valve cap tap

Hi guys,
Just got access to a lathe and want to make assume dust caps, just can't find the tap to tap them out.

Can anyone put me in direct touch with the required tap?

32 tpi is all I've understood :(

Eventually wanting to be able to make little things like the nut on qr levers, and light brackets. Dads got some awesome car wheel nuts that were made on the lathe, just inspired!!!

Please, the tap must exist, it's used on all sorts of numatic stuff and machines so where's the tap?

From wikipedia:

Metric: 7.7 mm OD, thread root diameter is 6.9 mm × 0.794 mm pitch.
Imperial: 0.305 in OD, thread root diameter 0.271 in × 32 tpi (threads per inch)

So, you're looking for a 0.305x32 unf. Totally unique to schraders and £££ for a tap.

Woah...not so fast there...
Isn't that damned close to 5/16" fine ME, model engineering thread: 0.3125 x 32tpi, root depth 0.2725"? :D

£3 + post for a carbon steel plug tap fromTracy Tools £9 for HS steel.

Or these Weldtite valve tools have a tap (and die) on them, but I've only ever used them for cleaning up, not fully tapping:

All the best,

Just looked in the back of the Emuge catalog, it's VG thread DIN 7756.

What about getting some aluminium caps and turning them down to how you wanted them?
