I've got a couple of bags of early 90s Exage brakes and levers that look suspiciously nylon, yet worked happily.

And a plastic Campag rear mech, made from a material that seems to translate into 'Technopolymer' from the Italian, obviously named by the same guy that makes up the names of shampoo additives.

Better than Monkey Metal anyway!
