S'bike with full Campagnolo group: rare or not?

Hi all, bought myself another project and now searching the net for info for this black anodised Daytona. Seems all original apart from tires and has a Modolo cockpit (over Tibet) with matching fork. Group is a mix of campagnolo but all the way down to pedals. Sprocket, headset, bracket, just all. Only parts missing are dust caps on pedals and a lot of love. And looking for info not found on the www I start wondering if I hit the jackpot or there are tons of these out there.

I did search that tread and think this was indeed a DACH region only version what makes sense since I bought this bike in Germany. And this is a first version looking at the reinforced section at the front derailler what again matched with the date in the Selle Italia Alpine seat, '90. But not much on the net.

I think any MTB campag is rare to a degree as you don't see it often, but there's probably a reason for that and why they don't make MTB kit anymore. Looks nice though.

Always fancied an s'bike myself after helping post one for someone. Not light but look great imho.

Having never had any Campagnolo components, I've sometimes wondered about the answers to both those questions. Are there any Campag MTB experts around here?

Not a Campag MTB expert but I do have a bike with full Campagnolo Olympus/Icarus mix down to the chain and cassette. A few bikes with MTB Campag seem to go under the radar, mine certainly did as it was about £100 last year!

It’s nice looking kit, the bullet shifters are a bugger to set up properly, even once set up they don’t feel great and I’m not really a fan. I’d probably change to thumb shifters if a set came up the right price.

Pedal dust caps - I’m still looking for a set or even just one to replace the missing one on my bike. Seen some EU plastic copies for £35 but am holding out for a broken pedal - will probably end up buying a whole bloomin bike just so I don’t feel like I’ve shelled out loads! If I were after caps for road pedals I would have been able to get them cheaper and quickly, there’s just not much of this kit around for MTB. Therein lies the issue with Campag MTB - any breakages or missing stuff and you are in to a long wait or lots of money to fix/replace - that’s my opinion anyway! Someone was looking brake blocks for example on here recently and I couldn’t find any of the right ones at any price.
