Retro Newbie
Evening I have just joined the mad world of retro bike.

My reasons for joining are simple to buy/sell and find advise

I have a few project to get started over the next few months that I have gathered over the last few years and finally have the space and time to get them going properly.

Firstly, completing my XC bike Pastey Howler 853, SC32 fork hope XC hubs Middleburn RS7s, still requires hope c2 callipers to complete

Secondly, AMP B4 (I think) to rebuild frame and fork require bushings and most parts are present inc AMP front hub and disc brake would love to find a rear hub an brake to match but at the moment It looks like I will stick wit a HS33 and a hope TI glide and HED rim.

Thirdly, Proflex 953 to be sold as most of it has been lost or taken for spears over the last 10 years.

4th/5th/6th
Claud butler Nurvex lugged road bike just gathering bits
Claud butler 1953 Tandem restoration needed
Chaz Roberts Tandem needs work ! inc powder coat/Enamelling

Right thats projects that require parts other bikes in the Stable

2012 Orange Five ridden almost daily (Running hope bulb 5 bolts on d521s because they last for ever well ten years plus and I'm tight)

Orange 222 I think this classes as retro but is ridden every month

Vernon Barker 653 tourer ridden daily to work

Pashly 853 26mhz never riden but I have always wanted one should really sell tho

Old Cannondale CADD2 used to commute on it and has seen better days

Saracen Kili Comp my dads stolen it but rides it more than I do these days needs period crank as he stripped the thread on the old LXs

Other Frames hanging in the Garage
Dawes 501 tourer
Holdsworth 531
Planet X Armadillo
Planet X Compo
Orange Subzero

Plus Girl Friends custom painted (lightening air brush) XC bike

Pics anyone ?

Look out for numpty questions on AMPs ans lot of wanted posts

Simon

Welcome chap

As your probably aware the forums re mtbs are split into two sections ....upto 97 and the other 98 onwards..that helps often when yopur looking for info, parts and sales

beyond that open your wallet and be prepared to lie to your partner about why the postman will visit so much :D

Hi,

Hope you enjoy your stay :D .

The best advice I can give you is to get parts delivered to your work address to avoid sleeping on the couch.
