I look at the classic car market .pre 1960's very few buyers now. Pre ww2 total buyers market.
Surely at the end of the day anything is worth what someone else is prepared for pay.
Disposable income at the moment seems limited imho

in above image axle slot of drive side dropout appears to have been opened up a bit

becomes clearer when compared to non-drive side dropout

Warm it up and close it up again.
Often happens with nutted axles on these older thin plate Dropouts.
