I know I've had it ages and I'm probably selling it.... but just one question, and it's going to sound ignorant, but...

how does moving the shock up and down the ladder affect the travel and handling? I've never got round to actually trying it out. Does higher up the ladder mean lower BB, longer travel and vice versa?

but if you 'flatten' the shock (i.e. make it more horizontal) don't you make the effective stroke longer (with the extra leverage?)

I need a pic of a san adreas ,

but it would lift the rear wheel , bringing the bb down and reducing travel ?

With the San Andreas style swing arm; the further away from the pivot the shock mount is, the less travel there will be and the lower the BB gets.

Actually scratch that. I've just looked at the pics. I thought the adjustment would be on the swing arm, not the frame 'cos it makes more sence to do that.

With that arrangement, moving the shock mount towards the rear of the main frame will increase the BB height, but it won't make any real difference to travel as far as I can see. :?

this isn't mine, but is a close up of the arrangement.

i'd suggest that the further up you move the shock, the lower the BB is and the shorter the travel.

just my unitiated guess
