Sam The Wheel

Has anyone heard of/been to see Sam The Wheel?
Fascinating man, worked for Claud Butler in the 1940s, reckons he used to build 80 wheels before lunch and can rebuild my rear wheel in under 30 mins. A local legend by some accounts- will report back after my appointment at his house!

Is he based in wandsworth area? Isn't that where Claud butler used to be?

He is based in Brixton- think Claude Butler were Clapham area...so yes, near Wandsworth.

I think it was the 50's...worked for Claude Butler and a wheel builder for Holdsworth!!!

He's also a film maker specialising in Super 8.... did a lot of stuff filiming the Brixton riots in the 80's.

There a documentry about him apparently!
