Wanted SACHS QUARZ or XTR M-950(1) Rear Derailleur

I'm after the non-rapid rise version really. I have a short cage from another M-950 derailleur that I was hoping to swap over onto it.

From experience if you want a short cage you need to buy a short cage. I’ve tried to swap cages over from xtr derailleurs and the length of the bolt is different on different sized cages. So is the b knuckle. Either that or Ive missed something

I’m good mate. Hope your well too?

M951 is rapid rise so if you want 8 speed you need M950. M952 differ in a few small bits to M950

Yeh M952 works on 8 speed as I’ve a couple like that. The colour is different though on the later stuff.
