S-BIKE full suspension!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No way this is steel with those welds, billett/box shapes, machined elements etc. The alledged rust I do not believe is rust.

I do think I have seen this somewhere, in an early 90s magazine. Given the design my guess would be 92-93, so the fork may not be that far off (93). Not at all sure it's an S-bike though.

Something like this although not neccessarily exactly this one, the front box section seems to have a wedge on the ebay item.

Parts on the pic here would make it 94? Think I see M739.

Perhaps I saw it at a WC race in 1993.

Nice frame!!
So how much does everyone think it will go for ?
I'm thinking over the 200 Euro Mark ?

This is not my bike just a Big S'Bike fan - I have been riding one for close to over 20 years now ;-)

Oh it's interesting allright, but the origin is indeed questionable.

As for the parts : If this is indeed a prototype, it should predate the production full suspension versions (which had a much more advanced pivot and swingarm). That would make this a pre-1992 frame.

And yes Mikee, I might be going for it. If the price is right and I can recuperate most of the price by selling the fork, I just might get this one and hang it on my wall.

Hi

I have sent the seller a Question to see if he can confirm that it is an Original SBIKE Prototype...
Will see if he replies

Woody,

Did the seller ever get back to you? I think he only responds to PMs in German.

Slight update : The auction ended at 223 EUR, or around £185.

However I think I can get back some of that money by selling the fork. 8)
Or maybe I can send it to a framebuilder to get the headset angle fixed and some cable stops and brake bosses attached, which would turn it into a rideable and truly unique bike.

I'm happy right now. My wallet, on the other hand, is not. But if it's an Sbike, money doesn't matter.
