Hello to all

Am after a Kestrel fork for my new unicorn build.

I'd prefer a threaded steerer if possible, with at least 200mm of 1" steerer, but I could also look at a threadless steerer if that's all there is out there.

The perfect item is the fork with the grey/white decals on the fork blades.

TIA for any replies.

Thank you very much for taking the time to reply to my post... much appreciated.

I'll need to get pretty busy with the piggy bank for that one. Looks absolutely lovely, but it's also very expensive!
No problem, I'd seen your earlier post and was looking for something else when I spotted these and remembered. Expensive, yes, but not too bad for a rare item really. I've learned the hard way and missed out on things! Look forward to seeing the final build in due course.

Thank you for thinking of me and bothering to reply to my WTD ad - it's really appreciated.

I've been looking for a few weeks, and am well aware that it's likely to take me months, if not a year or two, before the right fork comes along at the right price. eBay Kestrel's are typically selling for anywhere between £40 - £100 and most are in the US. I'm particularly annoyed that I missed this one, which was about £65 all in posted from the US:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/357123653989 - I couldn't be sure that the steerer was 1", so I hesitated as the seller didn't reply to my question until it was too late :-(

The Merlin frame that I'm building did come with a Reynolds carbon fork (threadless), so I can build the bike up, but I'd prefer threaded forks with a quilled Salsa stem and bars. It's actually the bars and stem that I think are going to be the hardest to find!

I've had a WTD ad for some Syncros Powerlites running for more than a decade on here, so I'm ready for the extreme long-haul...
