Rusty SK8 & seat post for my Orange C16-R refinishing thoughts?

Both are scabby, the bike is lovely, painted silver, do I just flat them down & blow a coat of silver paint on them or take the worst of & clearcoat them? Or do I bin them & fit something else. thoughts please!

Give them a good going over with a fine wire wool and oil first see how they come up.

Sk8 has pretty heavy clear on it, so you might get away with t cut and a polish..

But, the last few ive done I either blasted back to steel and sprayed, or had dipped to remove the finish and sprayed. This was because corrosion has started under the clear....worm trails....

But, you may well get away with a good rub down and respray, but if you have corrosion it needs dealing with or it will just keep coming!

Imho, once the clear coat starts to go, they dont look brill...however you try to polish/ disguise them.

They've not come up brilliantly, but I've clear coated them & left them as is.
I think a coat of silver would be the best course of action but I need to make space so it'll have to do.
