Hi, I desperately need help in working out how these forks are assembled and why they have so much sloppy movement when they are assembled.
These are RST Omega TNL Forks 2011 model.

I will try and explain with pictures as i go
Heres all the parts i have ready for assembly, the Damper cartridge on the left and the spring on the right and both top caps, stanchions and lower forks.
So they both go inside the fork stanchions and screwed to the top caps then the stanctions drop down into the lower fork.
This rod here im not sure about but it looks as though it sits at the bottom of the spring (small round head sits inside spring to keep it located) rubber bung at the top and one lower down then a plastic stop on the bottom, the lower rubber and plastic stop are pushed on after the rod is dopped through the bottom of the stanchion.
So then with both the spring and the the damper cartridge inside each stanchion (i have released the the lock out on top of the damper so its moveable) they both drop down into the lower fork and the allen keys are located through the bottom of the lower fork to pick up the long bolt on the spring side and the damper on the other side.
So this is how i have assembled them.
Now what i cant understand is that i have a serious large amount of movement inside the forks ,left to right and forward and back?
The suspension seems to be ok and the damper works but there is something seriously wrong somewhere, the movement is so bad that the stanctions touch the insides of the lower forks?
It seems like they could be missing something like a rubber spacer or something as i just cant seem to work out how all that movement can be got rid of with the way i have set them up.
It seems that the each part, the spring, the damper, the stanchions and the lower fork all fit inside each other and shouldnt touch the sides? However when fully assembled the movement is so great that the stanchions touch the lower fork and i would guess that the spring and the damper touch the inside of stanchions?
These have been powder coated and are for a friend of mine, when he gave them to me i think they were ok but i never checked for movement as they were'nt on the bike, i took them apart and this is definately all the parts that were inside and to my knowledge this is how they go together.
I cant give them back like they are though, they are a death trap.

This picture for instance shows the rod coming through the stanchion, but its very sloppy in the hole? is that right?
Ive searched everywhere for these type of fork maintenance , all i could find was the 2010 spare parts list on the RST website and im gutted i cant download it! I have the latest adobe player also and i tried Winzip, but still never worked.
